Some of us have been lucky enough to visit a major city and have been wowed by the creative shows and exciting educational experiences that these places have to offer children.
Glimmer Events was set up to give a little taste of these experiences for families and children in Jersey. We want to provide fun, diverse and educational (Shhhh!) events, and make them more accessible to families without the expense of traveling to the UK (or elsewhere).
Our aim - as embodied by our logo - is to 'plant the seeds in the minds of our future stars' by creating more diverse experiences which can be enjoyed by all of the family.
We have already held some fantastic science shows, which demonstrated the 'magic' of science. These sell-out shows showed that many families share our interest, and treasure creating memories with their children through experiences as opposed to things.
We are now turning our attention to the Arts, and what better way to create a magical experience than to bring one of London's most rated theatre shows of 2021 to Jersey!
From the creators of West End smash hit Dinosaur World Live, who bring spectacular puppets to life, we are excited to bring the Dragons and Mythical Beasts show from Regent's Park in London to the Showground in Jersey.
Children will come face to face with some of the most magnificent monsters and terrifying beasts ever to walk the earth. They'll discover the colossal Stone Troll, the mysterious Indrik and Japanese Baku; the Tooth Fairy (not as sweet as you'd think), an adorable Unicorn, and majestic Griffin. Kids will take their place among legendary heroes, just don't wake the Dragon…
We will have lots of other attractions there including workshops, food stalls, and an interactive foyer for all the family to enjoy and to make a fun day out for everyone!
